I am currently the Sheriff of Payette County. I oversee and manage a $4.1M budget and 55 employees while protecting and serving 26,000 citizens in Payette County. My administration is made up of a Captain as my Undersheriff with 16 years of experience in that position and three Lieutenants that oversee the Jail, Patrol, and Dispatch Divisions.

The Dispatch Division is a consolidated 911 dispatch center that provides services to all citizens and emergency response agencies in Payette County. It has one administrator and ten deputies that cover shifts 24 hours per day. We range between one to three dispatchers on duty, depending on call volume. Dispatch handles nearly 12,000 emergency phone calls, 47,000 regular phone calls, and dispatches 32,000 incidents per year.

The Patrol division is made up of one administrator, 12 deputies and one detective. They cover all of the unincorporated areas of Payette County, including the City of New Plymouth. The Patrol Division handles 8,000 calls per year. The Patrol Division also covers special duties such as marine deputies, Special Response Team members, Firearms Rangemasters, and Control Devices Instructors.

The Jail Division manages a 72 bed facility. There are two administrators, 12 deputies, two technicians, and one work inmate program director assigned to managing the jail facility and the community service program.

I have been a sworn Police Officer since May 1997. Sheriff Bob Barowsky hired me as a sworn Sheriff's Deputy for Payette County in March 1999.

I graduated from Nampa High School and College of Southern Idaho. While attending the College of Southern Idaho I was a reserve Police Officer for the Kimberly Police Department and worked for the Twin Falls Sheriff's Office as a Jail Technician. I currently hold a Technical Certificate in Law Enforcement from the College of Southern Idaho.

During my Law Enforcement career, I have attended 3,407 hours of training in the Law Enforcement Field and taught 373 hours of Law Enforcement related courses to students at the Idaho Police Officer Standards and Training (POST) Basic Patrol Academy and the Treasure Valley Community College (TVCC). I currently hold a Management Certificate through the Idaho POST Academy.
