I have been providing a consulting service as a traffic accident reconstruction expert for law firms and the insurance industry since 1990. I've reconstructed collisions involving motor vehicle, pedestrians, bicycles and various combinations of impacts. My service with the Minneapolis Police Department for thirty-three years has provided me with invaluable experience in the analysis of traffic collision. I have conducted over 4000 investigations involving traffic accidents and have reconstructed more than 1000 collisions. I supervised the Accident Investigation-Reconstruction Unit for twelve years before retiring. I am recognized and fully accredited as a Traffic Accident Reconstructionist by the Accreditation Commission for Traffic Accident Reconstruction (ACTAR). I am also recognized as a Crash Data Retrieval Analyst to download and examine Crash Data Recorder (Black Box) data. I have offered testimony as an expert witness in traffic accidents in several states and courts. My education is continual and ongoing.
