Momentum Forensics is based in the Gainesville area in north central Florida, and is led by Bob Scurlock, Ph.D., ACTAR. Bob graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Physics (Summa Cum Laude), a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy (Cum Laude), Minor in Mathematics, Master of Science in Physics, and a Doctorate in Experimental Physics.
Bob has been consulting on motor vehicle accident cases for over 15 years. He has been certified by the Accreditation Commission for Traffic Accident Reconstruction (ACTAR), and has participated in over 300 hours of specialized training in accident reconstruction, alongside officers from various law enforcement agencies from around the United States. He is a member of the National Association of Professional Accident Reconstruction Specialists (NAPARS), the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), and the American Physical Society (APS).
Bob has provided guidance in algorithm design and implementation of accident reconstruction software to leading corporations in the forensic technology sector. Bob is also the CEO of Virtual CRASH, LLC, a distributor of forensic simulation and animation software, as we as Crash Animation Studios, LLC a producer of forensic animations. He continues to provide training to forensic engineers and law enforcement officers around North America in the physics of accident reconstruction and simulation techniques.
