Dale Farmer retired from Law Enforcement after a 32-year career with the last 23 years at the Kingsport Police Department where he was assigned to the Traffic Unit in 1996 until his retirement in 2013. Mr. Farmer has attended and completed over 2000 hours of crash investigation training which included classroom, seminars and hands on crash testing. Mr. Farmer completed the testing and requirements to become accredited through the Accreditation Commission for Traffic Accident Reconstruction (ACTAR) in 2001 and continues to maintain the requirements to retain accreditation. Mr. Farmer is on the ACTAR Governing Board of Directors, and the Board of Directors of the National Association of Traffic Accident Reconstruction Investigators. Mr. Farmer has been instructing crash investigation courses in Tennessee since 1996 and started teaching crash investigation courses in the New England states in 2016. Mr. Farmer instructs the following courses: At Scene Crash Investigation, Advanced Crash Investigation, Traffic Crash Reconstruction, Computer Diagramming, Motorcycle Crash Investigation, Pedestrian/Bicycle Crash Investigation and Traffic Crash Reconstruction Refresher. Mr. Farmer owns Farmer Collision Analysis and investigates crashes in multiple states in the southeast and has testified as an expert in crash investigation and crash reconstruction as an expert in Tennessee, Kentucky and Virginia.
