ACTAR Number 2907

I began in law enforcement in 2002 and retired in June of 2023. I am currently an ACTAR certified Accident Reconstructionist in passenger vehicles and motorcycles. I served as a member of Eugene Police Department’s Major Collision Investigation team for 19 years. Where I responded to, investigated, and reconstructed hundreds of accidents involving passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, motorcycles, pedestrians, and bicycles. I am also currently a state certified emergency vehicle driving instructor and have been since 2008. I that role, I am also certified to instruct on SkidCar Systems and the Pursuit Intervention Technique (P.I.T). I was also a member of the Eugene Police Department's Traffic Safety Unit for six years. My devotion to traffic safety, as well as my innate hard-working character, make me a strong asset in the area of crash reconstruction.

My work ethic was instilled from a young age, when I worked on a family farm outside my hometown of Corning New York. I played football and baseball in high school, and went on to play two years of football at Alfred University. In 1987, I left college and joined the United States Marine Corps. I served as a Heavy Equipment Operator with 1st Combat Engineer Battalion and as an Aviation Electronics Technician with Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 24. I am a combat veteran from my service in the 1st Gulf War.
In 1995, when my enlistment ended, I moved to Oregon and joined the Oregon National Guard. My dedication to serving, led me to being commissioned as a Platoon Leader for 2nd Battalion 162nd Infantry Regiment. My vast experiences and successes as a Police Officer, Marine and soldier, combined with my expertise as an Accident Reconstructionist and certified Emergency Vehicle Operation Instructor prove I have the tenacity and knowledge to take on any accident investigation.
