I served as a North Carolina State Trooper from 1989 to 2017. I received collision reconstruction training in 1996. In 2003, the NC Highway Patrol formed a full time collision reconstruction unit. I was a charter member of the unit and served there until retirement in 2017. I have testified as an expert in criminal and civil courts in North Carolina. I hold a General Instructor's certificate issued by the North Carolina Criminal Justice and Training Standards Commission. I instruct police cadets in crash investigation, traffic enforcement techniques, and motor vehicle law. I have been a speaker at the NC Governor's Highway Safety Symposium and at the North Carolina Conference of District Attorneys' Lethal Weapon Seminar. I reside in western North Carolina.
