I retired from the Florida Highway Patrol after twenty-five years. More than twelve of those years were as a Traffic Homicide Investigator as well as being a part of their Florida Advanced Reconstruction and Investigation team. Over my twenty-five-year career with the Florida Highway Patrol I investigated more than 10,000 traffic collisions, been the lead investigator for over 160 traffic homicide investigations and assisted in the investigation of hundreds of other traffic homicide investigations involving passenger vehicles, motorcycles, pedestrians, bicycles, and commercial motor vehicles. I was one of the Florida Highway Patrol’s trainers in the field of Traffic Homicide Investigation, for the North Florida area. I have considerable experience with leading edge technology in the field, including EDR “black box” data retrieval systems, accident reconstruction programs, surveying equipment, etc.
