Edward Weber

Mr. Weber specializes in the investigation, analysis and reconstruction of motor vehicle collisions, failure analysis on automobiles, trucks & mechanical equipment, and investigates the cause and origin of vehicle fires.
Ed holds an M.A. degree in Leadership & Public Administration and a B.S. degree in Human Services & Administration of Justice. He is also an accredited accident reconstructionist with the Accreditation Commission for Traffic Accident Reconstruction (ACTAR #1017), FAA licensed commercial drone pilot, a Certified Vehicle Fire Investigator, and a Certified Master Automobile and Truck Technician.
Prior to joining Young & Associates, Mr. Weber attained 26 years of experience in both civil and criminal investigations as a lieutenant with the Waldwick, New Jersey Police Department and Senior Team Leader for the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Fatal Accident Investigation Unit. Mr. Weber has over 35 years of experience in traffic accident reconstruction involving motor vehicles, commercial vehicles, pedestrians and motorcycles. In addition to traffic accident reconstruction, he has extensive training and experience in forensic automotive and truck mechanical failure analysis and unintended acceleration investigations. As a lieutenant for his police department, he was responsible for traffic bureau operations, traffic site plan reviews, traffic engineering procedures, departmental policy and procedure formulation, internal affairs, public and press relations, personnel management, alcoholic beverage control investigations, budgeting, training, and scheduling. He was also a certified incident commander and provided leadership for public events, crime scenes, and task force operations.
Mr. Weber’s areas of expertise include vehicle accident reconstruction, pedestrian & bicycle accident reconstruction, commercial vehicle reconstruction, motorcycle accident reconstruction, seat belt analysis, event data recorder downloads, infotainment systems and scene mapping. Additional expertise areas include automotive mechanical examinations, sudden acceleration incident investigations, mechanical component failure investigations, and truck mechanical examinations.
