PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
Thirty-six years of law enforcement experience with the King County Sheriff’s Office and ten years of experience as a private reconstructionist.
During my career in law enforcement, I have investigated in excess of 3,000 traffic collisions, both as a Field Investigator and as an Accident Reconstructionist. These collisions included multi-vehicle, vehicle versus pedestrian, bus, motorcycle and semi-tractor-trailer collisions.
As a private reconstructionist I have worked for insurance companies, attorneys, and private citizens investigating and reconstructing a variety of traffic collisions.
2006 to present: Owner, Washington Collision Reconstruction Services
1987 to 2016: Detective for the King County Sheriff’s Office, Major Accident Response and Reconstruction Unit, investigating fatality traffic accidents and those likely to become fatality accidents, injury hit and run collisions and Attempt to Elude cases.
1983 to 1989: Member of King County Police Tac 30 Team (SWAT). Actively involved in the training of new team members as well as instructing members of other Department SWAT teams, through training courses presented by the Criminal Justice Training Commission at Fort Lewis.
1983 to 1987: King County Police, Special Operations Section, Traffic Officer. Responsible for accident investigations, DUI enforcement and traffic complaint investigations.
1979 to 1983: King County Police, Patrol Officer for Southwest Precinct. Involved in reactive and proactive units, as well as in the training of new officers through the Field Training Officer program.
