Sergeant Antonio Ellis is a 17 year veteran with Manchester Township Police in Ocean County New Jersey and has a combined total of 19 years of Police Experience, having begun his career with the Seaside Park Police Department in May 1998.
Sergeant Ellis is currently assigned to the Administrative and Support Services Division, in the Traffic Safety Section, where he serves various capacities since 2005. From 2001-2005, Sergeant was assigned to the Patrol Division working both the Midnight and Dayshifts.
To date, Sergeant Ellis has investigated and assisted in over 600 motor vehicle crashes, of which in excess of 300 were of major proportions, to include: Fatal, Criminal Investigations, Critical Injury, Pedestrian, Multiple Vehicle, Motorcycle, Government Vehicles, and Large Trucks and Busses.
Since 2006 Sergeant Ellis has been a registered Police Training Commission Academy Instructor. He currently teaches Basic and Special Police Officer Recruit Classes at the Ocean County Police Academy. He also teaches various in service course for active law enforcement both in Ocean County and surrounding jurisdictions. His courses of instruction include; NJTR1 Crash Reports and Investigation, Emergency Vehicle Operators Course, RADAR Operation, Traffic Stops, and the National Safety Council Defensive Driving Course.
