Daniel Souther

Daniel Souther served as a member of the North Carolina State Highway Patrol from 1991 until he retired in 2019. Trooper Souther successfully completed training by IPTM in 1996 becoming a collision reconstructionist for the NCSHP. In 2003, the NCSHP formed a full time Collision Reconstruction Unit in which Trooper Souther was selected to be one of twenty charter members. Trooper Souther served in that capacity reconstructing hundreds of motor vehicle collisions during his career. Daniel Souther has testified in court as an expert in Collision Reconstruction many times and has been a speaker on several occasions for both the NC Governor's Highway Safety Symposium as well as for the North Carolina Conference of District Attorneys' Lethal Weapon Conference.
