I am an active duty San Bernardino County Deputy Sheriff / Field Training Officer assigned to the traffic division, the City of Hesperia M.A.I.T (Major Accident Investigation Team) and Region II M.A.I.T. I have been a Deputy Sheriff for over 15 years. During the 15 years, I have been assigned to the Corrections Division, Patrol Division for 7 years and in the traffic division for over 5 years. I was a member of the Dive/ Swift Water Rescue team for over 5 years where I conducted body, vehicle, and evidence recovery to include underwater investigations. I hold an Associates of Science Degree in Administration of Justice from Victor Valley College. I am trained/certified in the retrieval and analysis of event data recorders (EDR’s) using the Bosch software. I actively investigate collisions involving non-injury, minor injury, major injuries, hit and run, fatalities and vehicular manslaughter. My areas of expertise include speed analysis, skid mark analysis, g-forces, occupant kinematics, perception and reaction, seat belt analysis, lamp analysis (on/off), interview and interrogation, CDR, and reconstruction using the FARO 3D scanner and software. My profession affiliations include membership in the National Association of Professional Accident Reconstruction Specialists (NAPARS), the California Association of Accident Reconstruction Specialists (CA2RS) and Southern California Traffic Investigation Association (SOCTIA).
