Mike Cowsert is the owner and President of Closing Velocity Inc. Expert Witness services. Mike is also a current 20 year veteran of the Arlington Heights Illinois Police Department. Over the last 15 years of Mike's career, he has investigated and reconstructed hundreds of collisions. In 2008, Mike opened Closing Velocity Inc. as a private consultant and expert witness service. Mike has since investigated and reconstructed hundreds of collisions throughout Illinois, Wisconsin, Iowa, Michigan and Indiana. Mike specializes as a Crash Data Retrieval Technician and Analyst and as worked several vehicle vs. pedestrian, heavy truck, as well as perception delay cases. Mike has testified in several court proceedings as an expert for the prosecution and the defense for criminal cases as well as an expert for civil cases representing both the plaintiff and defense.
